Buddhist Centers in Costa Rica
Visit one of the Diamond Way Buddhist Centers in Costa Rica
When you visit a Buddhist center for the first time, you can expect that your questions about buddhism will be answered, participate in a guided meditation suitable for beginners and have time to socialize and meet other practitioners.
Our centers have an open and transparent structure. They operate based on friendship, idealism, and volunteer work. Members share the responsibility of guiding meditations, answering questions, and providing explanations.
Each Buddhist center offers different programs. Our larger centers organize meditation courses and lectures given by our lamas from the Karma Kagyu tradition. All our centers offer regular talks and explanations by lay Buddhist teachers. There is always an opportunity to learn and practice the meditation of the 16th Karmapa, which is brief enough for busy Westerners to incorporate into their routine, while also being an extremely effective way to train the mind.
There are more than 600 buddhist centers around the world, all of them established by Lama Ole Nydahl and his wife Hannah, by request of H.H. the XVI Karmapa.
